• Digital Atlas of Chicago - Provides maps based on population and race, ancestry, income and poverty, and education level. Part of the American Cities Atlas Project.

• Geographic Information System - Web Mapping - A layered map with levels including streets, schools, bike routes, and police districts.

• Ghost City Chicago - A computer graphic reconstruction of Chicago designed to allow people to explore the layers of the city's development and characteristics engaging all human senses (sight, sound, and interaction). Includes historical events, graphs and charts, photos of neighborhoods and attractions.

• Historical Maps Online - Joint project by University of Illinois and the University of Illinois Press. Features numerous annotated images of geographical maps of Illinois, counties and cities along with the Midwest.

• IDOT State Road Map - Provides interactive maps of the state and can be searched by city, town or state park. Also, features printable map options, along with current and winter road conditions.

• IllinoisAtlas.com - Provides freely available maps in PDF or JPEG format depicting a vast range of features. An ongoing project of the Data & Mapping Services Division of the Center for Governmental Studies at Northern Illinois University.

• Mapathon Illinois - Link directory that features a selection of road maps, city street maps, parks, traffic and roadway references.

• World Sites Atlas: Illinois Road and Hotel Map - A compact map showing interstate and U.S. highways plus major cities and towns.

• 1902 Chicago Folio and Atlas - Scanned maps and transcribed text from this long out-of-print first topography of the Chicago Region, written by William Alden and first published in 1902.
